History Papilionanda Marguerite Maron (Vanda suavis x Papilionanthe teres) (Charles Maron, 1903) enjoys the distinction of being the world's first intergeneric vandaceous hybrid. Exhibited in London as 'the first of its kind', it obtained an AM/RHS on 26 May 1903. Named for the originator's wife. [Emrys Chew 2017-06-29]
