  • Some information on coloration varieties of C. purpurata: - var. tipo has nice attractivbe coloration but the form is usually lacking. - var. atro has nice dark color on the lips. Sepals and petals show a faint blush of the same color upon opening that fades later on. - var. Aco (means 'steel blue') has a faint yellow throat and steel blue lip. - var. Anelata has unusual coloration of the lip thgt shaped like a ring.
